I am a High Performance Sprints and Hurdles Coach Level 4 UK Athletics and Level 3 Athletics Australia.
Since graduating Heriot-Watt University in 1993 with a Diploma in Sports Coaching (thesis on LTAD) I have dedicated my life to studying and researching not only the sprints and hurdles events but the strength and conditioning methods so valuable for power development to athletes in these events.
On my life’s coaching roster I have coached several athlete to break national records in power events as well acting as a Performance Enhancement Coach to a range of sports including Rugby, Netball, Football, Basketball, Hockey, (On which I published a book) and Andy Murray currently world number one Tennis player.
My success is due in part to my ability to listen to athletes and work in a collaborative manner with all people involved in the coaching process by developing a team around the athletes. In particular the medical and sports science support personnel.
My skills and abilities have been developed under the mentorship of three (3) Olympic medal winning coaches one of whom coached a 100m Olympic Games gold medallist.
