Two achievements I have personally accomplished through my volunteering:
1. Successfully coached running technique through 25 Beginner Runners’ Clinics (since 2012) with over 250 participants, mainly women aged 25 to 60. This is and was always done for a nominal fee to participants to allow everyone access.
2. Event director of over 45 road and trail races and fundraising events in the region, including six 3 Marathons in 3 Days races, six Kuranda to Port Douglas races, NQ Games (2010 & 2016), three Dynamic in a Dress races, Magic Mile races and four Paws on the Path Fun Runs/Walks. These events attracted over 2,500 competitors (local, regional, intrastate, interstate and overseas).
